2021: International Women’s Day Message for Tech Girls

I'm thrilled to be the 2021 Patron of the Tech Girls Movement Foundation.

Founded by my great friend Dr. Jenine Beekhuyzen OAM, the Tech Girls Movement was launched on 8 March 2014 (International Women’s Day).

Designed to get girls interested and engaged in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths). With research saying that girls opt-out of STEM at 6 years of age, mainly in part due to a lack of visible female role models and a lack of understanding of what STEM professionals do.

On International Women's Day 2021, I wanted to share some messages for #TechGirls everywhere about how exciting a tech career is. And with science and technology and creativity, the ideas that some people might think are crazy, can become a reality.
