#roboNDIS, Data Privacy and Security Failures: Statement of Concern. By EFA Team
On 29 April 2025, Electronic Frontiers Australia issued a Statement of Concern regarding the NDIS long-standing record of inadequate data privacy protection, and the worsening situation with the NDIS PACE system, security breaches, and cyber-washing. This is a compelling must read statement.
The Statement of Concern references my commentary regarding its increasing dependence on automated decision making.
‘EFA is also concerned by the NDIA’s increasing dependence on automated decision-making tools, incorporating machine learning and AI platforms like the Budget Calculation Instrument, echoing issues associated with roboNDIS and robodebt.(For more insight, see Marie Johnson’s Substack article: A Look Inside the Deadly Digital Transformation Agenda that created RoboDebt and RoboNDIS)’
Thank you EFA for your advocacy. Read online here. PDF of the statement here.
