There’s Something Rather Delicious About a 68-year-old Woman Putting Her Own Backside on the Cover of Her Own Fitness Journal🍑

Isn’t there something rather delicious about a 68-year-old woman putting her own backside on the cover of her own fitness journal. 🍑That’s my backside on the cover. And yes, that’s my real tattoo! But it’s not my backside I want you to focus on. We need to talk about MUSCLE.

Not because I want to look like a bodybuilder, although that would be kinda cool. And certainly not because I’m trying to turn back the clock. Because muscle is one of the most underrated assets we have as we get older.

We talk endlessly about longevity. New drugs. Supplements. Biohacking. The latest miracle that promises to keep us younger for longer. But what about the muscle we already have? And the muscle we can still build?

Muscle isn’t just about looking strong. It’s about staying strong. Feeling strong and confident. Getting out of a chair. Carrying the shopping. Climbing those stairs. Maintaining independence. Personal safety.

And it’s a metabolic powerhouse. Yet somewhere along the way, we’ve come to accept that losing strength, becoming frail and doing less is just part of getting older.

I don’t buy it. That’s why Edition 04 of MarieAI Journal is all about MUSCLE.

And there’s another story behind this cover. Look closely. 👀

It took more than THREE different AI systems - ChatGPT, Grok and HeyGen, plus - to produce a realistic image of a fit, muscular 68-year-old woman. Me. Based on actual images of me.

Apparently, an older woman with developed muscles, natural skin folds and a bit of fat around her waist is quite a challenge for AI.🤣

There’s a fascinating story there about ageing, bias, and the images AI has learned to create. I’ll be writing about that too in a future article.

But here’s something else that really bothers me.

Not one doctor has EVER talked to me about the importance of muscle.

Think about that. We have an ageing population, an obsession with longevity, and a burgeoning fitness industry. Yet muscle still isn’t getting the attention it deserves.

The future of ageing needs a serious shake-up.

So does medicine and healthcare.
So does fitness.
So does AI.

It’s time to challenge the whole bloody lot.
