WHILE THE INTERNET IS TALKING PROMPTS 💬I’M BUILDING IDENTITY. 🧠🛠️⚙️👤

🤖 Welcome to the Digital Human Workshop. 🧠⚙️ Where AI s not a superficial “write my email” exercise. Yet much of the conversation about AI, still begins and ends with productivity: summarise this document, draft that response, automate another administrative task.

That is an extraordinarily limited view of what AI can become.

Welcome to The Digital Human Workshop, where identity, knowledge, movement, voice and purpose come together. In this image, Mini MarieAIs work as specialist teams to design, train, test and continuously refine their full-size. Digital Human MarieAI.

There is an Identity Keeper, a Knowledge Architect, a Voice Coach, a Movement Coach, an Accessibility Lead, and, importantly, a Quality Controller watching for anything that has drifted.

The raised eyebrow of the Mini MarieAI Quality Controller, suggests she may already have found something. And this does happen. The image is playful. The process it represents is anything but superficial.

Creating an AI Digital Human is a highly curated design, knowledge and testing discipline. Building the knowledge base (the corpus) is not simply a matter of uploading documents. Information must be selected, structured, contextualised and tested. Memories, expertise, language, values and lived experience all influence how the Digital Human understands - and responds to - the world.

Even the concept of Identity takes on vastly different dimensions. Identity is not merely a face. It is voice, movement, expression, knowledge, memory, language, values, behaviour, purpose and boundaries. It is also the continuity between all those elements across every interaction.

A Digital Human must therefore be tested not only for what it knows, but for how it communicates, how it behaves, how inclusive and accessible it is, and whether the experience remains consistent with its intended identity.

This is why I describe AI Digital Humans as experiential conversational entities. They are not simply generated. They are experienced through conversation, presence and interaction.

The important questions are no longer limited to: What can this AI produce? We must also ask: Who are we creating? What does it know? How should it behave? Whose interests does it serve? And how will people experience it?

That is the real work taking place inside the Digital Human Workshop.
